Consultation

This is our first meeting, where I will be learning your story, what you are fighting, what do you need help with, what issues you are stuck with, what symptoms you feel bothered by. I will be asking you some questions and you will be in charge of what you would be willing to share in our first meeting. After the assessment, we’ll make a treatment plan to determine what would be the most effective ways to help you to heal, treat the problem issue.

There are different evidence-based treatment modalities we can combine in order to move your forward. My training and approach: my residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, research, and clinical experience in a field of neuroscience and postgraduate training in therapy at Columbia University, allowed me to combine integrative humanistic approaches to help you in the best way possible to achieve your life goals.

Personalized wellness journey

One of the most important keys to your overall mental health is evidence-based wellness modalities: balanced nutrition, exercises, mindfulness practice. Modern psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience put significant emphasis on a healing connection between mind and body as well as enhancing brain neuroplasticity, expanding its neuronal network. Together we’ll create an effective nutritional regimen to match your healthy microbiome, which makes an apparent difference in how you feel. We’ll add appropriate supplements, superfoods and vitamins to complete your regimen.

Now we have a body of evidence to recommend certain exercise programs, which would increase the endorphins and assist you with anxiety relief, emotional regulation as well as mood improvement, and memory enhancement. More evidence is coming to support dancing movements as an additional modality to lift your spirits, relieve your anxiety, and improve your memory and coordination.

Mindfulness, Meditation

It’s hard to underestimate scientific evidence and most importantly practical benefits in using mindfulness and meditation in our modern society. We’ll get over the basis of mindfulness and meditation techniques, including the novel apps, which reflect on the evidence-based, proven data to help you to relieve your day-to-day anxieties, stress, insomnia, increase focus and concentration.

Visual Imagery, Hypnotic Induction, Hypnotherapy

Many people found significant benefits while practicing mindfulness, meditation under the guidance, and using visual imagery. I will help you to discover the power of visual imagery and mindfulness while providing hypnotic induction, so you can overcome your fears, anxieties, unwanted thoughts, and habits.

Psychotherapy

There is significant data that supports the high efficacy of implementing different psychotherapeutic modalities by themselves or in combination with medication management. We will discuss different therapy treatments depending on your needs. There is supportive, behavioral therapy., DBT-dialectical behavioral therapy, which is specifically useful to provide you with tools and strategies to better regulate your emotions, tailor impulsive behaviors and thoughts, teach you to implement mindfulness and distress tolerance techniques. CBT-cognitive behavioral therapy, which we can use in combination with other modalities for anxiety, stress relief, insomnia, and unwanted, obsessive thinking. We’ll also focus on ‘here’ and ‘now’ in order to move you forward in your day-to-day life.

In a short-psychodynamic therapy and more traditional dynamic approach, I’ll help you to identify the barriers, self-sabotage behavior, repeated habits and tendencies, which keep you from reaching out to your maximum potential and interfere in your life goals and accomplishments.

Medication Management Psychopharmacology

We will discuss together the different options in terms of the medications management, depending on your willingness, necessity, your condition, and your understanding of medication efficacy. We will go over the benefits, side effects of different evidence-based medications regimens, and discuss your thoughts, concerns. There are many variables, including your family history, medical history, symptoms, your previous experience with medications and treatment providers, your life choices will help us to choose the better medication regimen.

Brain Music Therapy

Brain Music Therapy is an effective, scientifically proven treatment for stress, insomnia, anxiety, and depression. It has also been found to increase productivity and concentration. Brain Music Therapy records an individual’s brain waves and converts them into unique musical sounds. These musical sounds correlate to brain waves that promote relaxation and trigger activation in your body. The musical sounds are presented to you in the form of two musical files – one relaxing, and one activating. Playing those files promotes relaxation and activation in your body.

Benefits of BMT

Extensive clinical experience shows that BMT is effective in helping you achieve alertness, calmness, improved organizational skills, emotional strength, improved mood, and sharpened memory. Many people have reported that they have been able to reduce and even completely eliminate their need for sleep and anti-anxiety medications as a result of BMT.

The best part is that BMT, like all your playlist tunes, is noninvasive, has no negative side effects, and is enjoyable. It’s much more cost-effective than most medications. You can also use it just like you would any other playlist. You can download it onto your iPod, with all your other playlists, and carry it right in your pocket. Brain Music Therapy finds, records, and reinforces brain waves that are associated with various physiological parameters, such as heart rate and muscle tension.

When you practice listening to your activating track, your brain waves will be trained to reach your optimal alertness, even per specific situations if you choose to train that way, so you’ll feel energized, optimized and happy and you will focus and perform better.

.

Is BMT Portable?

Yes, you can do it on your own and wherever and whenever you want.
It’s put in MP3 format for you so can ‘carry your optimal mindset’ with you in your pocket! And of course, like any other training program, to make your treatment successful you need to practice.

When you practice listening to your own relaxing brain waves, twice a day, and extra times when needed, you will make your brain waves more relaxed and yourself a less anxious, more balanced person, who sleeps much better.

How It Works

The procedure:
1. The physician provides a brief medical evaluation.
2. The patient fills out two questionnaires: the Beck Depression Inventory and Subjective Sleep Scale.
3. The individual’s key brain wave patterns are recorded using EEG equipment. The recording time is about 5 to 10 minutes, and the duration of the entire procedure is approximately 20-25 minutes. The procedure is painless and non-invasive.
4. For an optimal recording, patients have to keep still and attempt to bring themselves to a relaxed state.
5. The individual’s brain wave patterns are processed through algorithms, which extract key healing rhythms and translate them into a sound-based format of two musical compositions.
6. In approximately 2-5days, the patients receive their personal brain music CD, which includes recommendations by a licensed physician.

Who Developed Brain Music Therapy?

Brain music therapy was developed in the early 1990s, at the Moscow Medical Academy, in Russia. Following long-term efforts of a group of neurophysiologists, clinicians, special technology was developed to turn a person’s unique brain waves into piano music. This technology and treatment became known as BMT.

The main BMT center is located in New York City, but there are several affiliate providers you can access across the country (for a list of providers, see the website).

Addiction Treatment

Our brain can be wired in a way, which makes it very hard to resist addictive behaviors like alcohol, opioid, heavy cannabis, nicotine and other harmful substances use, dependence. The same mechanisms can be involved in binge eating, gambling, extra sugar consumption. We will identify triggers, emotional variables and stumbling blocks, which make it hard to overcome those behaviors. There are several aspects of comprehensive addiction treatment, which involves evidence-based therapeutic modalities and psychopharmacological management. The  latest also includes suboxone induction and  maintenance for opioid addiction, naltrexone/vivitrol for alcohol and opioid addiction and subsequent relief for benzo-and stimulant addiction.
